The City of Holly Hill will be the host city for the 75th Anniversary of Florida’s Merci Boxcar. The special event will take place on Veterans Day beginning at 11 a.m. at Holly Hill City Hall.
The event will include proclamations by special guest and dignitaries of America and France. A wreath laying will be held at the boxcar. Children will present gifts to place at the boxcar symbolizing the gifts that filled the boxcars when presented to the 48 American states by France. A luncheon will follow the event with educational displays by many historic and Veteran groups.
